The Vedic scriptures encourage inquiry. In the Bhagavad-gita, Arjuna asks questions and Lord Krishna answers them. Inquiry is the beginning of spiritual life. Athato brahma jijnasa – "Now, therefore, one should inquire into the nature of the Absolute Truth."
